Overcoming Panic and Anxiety
From fear of enclosed spaces to reclaiming daily life through therapy and medication.
Background
A 35-year-old woman sought help for debilitating anxiety. She feared darkness, enclosed spaces, and even attending funerals. These fears, coupled with palpitations and sleeplessness, paralyzed her daily life, making her unable to perform basic household activities and heavily reliant on her family.
Intervention
Through our specialized outpatient department, she received a holistic treatment plan. This included a combination of counselling support to address her phobias and prescribed medications tailored to her specific condition.
Outcome
Today, she has resumed her daily chores and self-care routine. Her anxiety has significantly reduced, sleep has improved, and her medication is being gradually tapered as she gains strength and independence.
Conclusion
Her journey demonstrates that with the right clinical intervention, even severe anxiety can be managed, allowing individuals to reclaim control over their lives.
